Ramaswamy (Rama) Venkateshwaran is the CTO and a co-founder of Charlee.ai. Rama is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the Charlee product offering, including securing the cloud environment, CharleeTM Software Architecture, NLP/NLU, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Working closely with the Charlee.ai Innovation Team, he built the Insurance Industry's first ever Pre-Trained Insurance Insights Engine with over 50,000 pre-built insights, and patented NLP technology.

Rama's journey with AI started in his Undergraduate at IIT Bombay, where he implemented a self-parking solution for trucks using neural networks for his BTech Project, state-of-the-art at the time. Subsequently, in his 20-year career at Qualcomm, Rama led various strategic initiatives including Machine Learning Enabled Connectivity Manager, Wi-Fi Calling and Operator Wi-Fi. He drove the future of Wi-Fi standards and AI in Wi-Fi, working closely with the Wi-Fi Alliance and other industry leaders in Wi-Fi. At Charlee.ai, Rama has developed a Claims Interpretation Layer using patented NLP Technology for AI-enabled Insurance Claims Handling. Rama holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park. He holds over 10 US and International patents.

Outside of work, Rama enjoys doing yoga, teaching math to young kids and hiking out in the woods with his family whenever he finds time.
